i suppose i should begin at the beginning, if begin is what i wish to do...
i'm writing here with the intention simply of recording a life in hopeful homage to my faith. it is here for me now, for my family, and for the interest of friends who may find something useful somewhere around my words. it is also a rehearsal of a long-ignored talent that i hope is still breathing beneath the years' pile-up.
what "gifts"? everything i have, everything i've done, all i've produced, and what i've learned from these are my gifts, initiated outside myself, from a loving Creator and Father. my children, who sleep each night with arms and legs and breath mingled, are Great gifts from Him. my husband who, though sometimes weary, remembers to love us all so actively, is an Eternal gift from Him. my body, which pays homage to time but is still healthy and functioning, is a Beautiful gift from Him .
why "gratitude"? because if i have talents, what else are they for? why should i sing if not praising? why should i write if not in worship? why should i speak if not in sharing a belief in His Love?
i suppose this blog is also here to serve as a string around the finger: remember, remember, remember. and in remembering, become better. grow that memory until it becomes a constant reality; grow it until the praise, the worship, the sharing is innate. that's what this is: a journal of remembrance.
